黄桂凤、马玉蓉主编的《旅游服务英语》是根据教育部《高职高专教育英语课程教学基本要求》的精神，为适应海南国际旅游岛建设需要，以满足学生职业生涯和社会经济发展需要为目的，遵循以就业为导向，以职业能力为本位，以岗位要求和职业标准为依据的原则，将行业知识和职业技能渗透到英语教学中来，满足新形势下新一轮高职高专英语教材改革的实际需要而编写的一部教材。
