从中国社会、文化和历史的发展演变角度，通过三个对照组：2007年6月毕业的女大学生50名（分布在不同学院），相同年纪但没有受过大学教育已经参加工作的女孩50名，2007年6月高考完的高三毕业女生100名（文、理科各50名），来探究现行的大学教育和21世纪中国女性的职业、婚姻和生育三观之间的关系。本论文采用了定量（问卷）和定性（访谈）的研究方法，对三组研究样本的数据资料做了详尽的比较和解析，从而检测大学教育是否对现今女性的三观有必然的联系。研究表明，大学教育对女大学生的三观有影响，特别是对她们职业观和婚姻观的看法。
