三计打草惊蛇
    疑以叩实，察而后动。复者，阴之
媒也。
【白话】  遇到可疑的情况，就要侦察核
实清楚，准确掌握了情况之后再行动。
《易·复)》里说：反复验证，就可借以揭
露隐藏在现象背后的事物本来面目。
【英译】
Stratagem Thirteen: Beat the
Grass to Frighten Away the Snake
  If you meet doubtful things, first carry
out reconnaissance and verification and
then take action after having accurately
grasped the situation. According to
"Fu "of Book of Changes, repeated ved-
 fication can expose the true features of
things hidden behind the phenomenon.
第十四计借尸还魂
    有用者，不可借；不能用者，求借。
借不能用者而用之。匪我求童蒙，童蒙
求我。
【白话】  有用的东西，人家往往不借给
你；没用的，他又往往会来求你借。那
么，我就借那些在别人看来没有用的而
用之，以达到我的目的。这就是《易·蒙》
卦中讲的道理：不是我去求那些蒙昧无
知的幼童，而是他们来求我。
【英译】
Stratagem Fourteen: Find Re-
incarnation in Another's Corpse
  Usually others will not lend you use-
ful things; but they usually plead to lend
you useless things. Therefore, we can
borrow things that are considered use-
less in others' eyes and use them in or-
der to achieve our aim. This is just the
 theory in "Meng" of Book of Changes
that we should not go to beg those ig-
norant and uncivilized children, but
make them come to beg us.
第十五计调虎离山
    待天以困之，用人以诱之。往蹇来反。
【白话】利用自然条件使敌人陷入困难
境地，再用人事方面的计谋诱骗他。这
就是《易·蹇》卦中讲的，我前进会有
危险；让对方来，于我有利。
【英译】Stratagem Fifteen：Lure the Ti-
ger out Of the MOuntain
  Take advantage Of naturaI cOnditions
tO trap the enemy in troubleS and then
emplOy the stratagem invoIVing person—
nel tO entice it．This is what is stated in
"Jian" of B00k 0f Changes that if  I may
meet danger in advancing，1 w¨I make
the 0ther side come tO me．which is fa-
vorable tO me．
