John and his close friend, David, live in the same building. It is a very tall building in a big city. There are twenty floors in the building. John lives on the fifteen floor and David on the third floor. There are two lifts in the building. Every day the lifts take people up and down. When John leaves or comes back to his home, he must take the lift. He gets into the lift and it takes him up to the fifteen floor or down to the first floor. And then he gets out of it. David doesn't like using lifts. He usually climbs up to the third floor or goes down to the first floor on foot. He thinks climbing up the stairs is a good exercise. John and David go to school together. They catch the No.11 bus. It takes them twenty minutes to get to school. When they come back home from school together, David sometimes takes the lift with John. John sometimes walks with David. They can talk about the funny things at school.
