     Mary wanted to buy a birthday present for her mother. But she didn't have any money. She was very
sad. She thought and thought. She had an idea. She could make a present by herself. So she used a piece
of paper to make a card. On the front, she drew a beautiful picture of birds and flowers, on the back
she wrote, "To my dearest mummy in the world. Happy Birthday!"
     On her mother's birthday, Mary gave her the card. After she saw the card, tears fell down her face.
"Why are you crying?" Mary asked, "You don't like it, right?" "Of course not," she said, "I love it very much.
I'm the happiest mother in the world. I have a great daughter like you."
